Equal Opportunities Publications, Inc.

Publishes five magazines to promote diversity in the workplace: Woman Engineer, Minority Engineer, Equal Opportunity, Careers and the disABLED, and Workforce Diversity. Viewers can either download or subscribe. The site also contains career fair notices, employer profiles, and tips and trends for minorities, women, and people with disabilities.

IMDiversity

Job bank and online resumes for all minority groups. Special focus "villages" for African-Americans, Asian-Americans, Hispanic-Americans, and Native-Americans feature articles related to employment, career development, and current events.

Career Journal

Black Collegian

Electronic version of 27-year old national career magazine. In addition to career planning and job search info, there is commentary by leading African American writers, lifestyle/entertainment features, news about college campuses, and profiles of employers committed to diversity.

This organization was founded in 1977 to address the needs of black women in the workforce.

UIC Office of Women's Affairs

Provides consultation on issues such as sexual harassment and sexual assault and provides programs for UIC departments on working more effectively with gender issues.  The Office of Women's Affairs also provides a safe place for women to relax and for small meetings. Our resource center has a variety of books on a wide range of topics of interest to women.
